PHANTOM III

1. Bearings.

RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} reported that 12 sets of Hall's bearings would be ready by the end of this month. It was decided that these 12 sets should go into cars on production to avoid dismantling existing cars for the purpose. It was also agreed that whereas the oil coolers should not be deleted in connection with these bearings when chassis are delivered, it was decided they should be dis-connected during the process of testing cars with these bearings and coupled up again when the tests are completed.
RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} was also asked to look into the question of when these could go into all cars on production and also the question of deleting the oil cooler which renders possible a simplified arrangement of pipes.

2. Fuel Consumption

It was decided that the smaller jets, for which a Standardisation Sheet has now been signed, would start on production in "D" series.

3. Larger Tyres. i.e. 7.5"

It was decided to encourage Dunlops to produce a mould for tyres of the latest silent pattern to the larger dimensions.
