Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

I believe that you have done some tests on friction horse power losses with various types of piston. If it would be possible to release any of these for publication I should be most obliged if you could send me some typical results.

Apart from this, you may or may not have noticed that I am doing a series of articles in THE MOTOR entitled "Five Years Progress" of various types of motorcar. I should like to do one on the "luxury" car and wondered if you could co-operate in supplying data on the Rolls-Royce progress from, say, 1934 to 1939. If so, I should be very pleased to come up to Derby to discuss the matter with you.

Sincerely yours,
Laurence Pomeroy

TECHNICAL EDITOR.
