CRITICISMS ON THE SPRINGING OF THE CABRIOLET BROUGHT TO WW+ BY X.9410 HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ON 3.10.24. X.2628

If there is any complaint about the springing of this cabriolet, (and I understand it was somewhat rough at low speeds) then it is probably due to two things.

Firstly, the presence of considerable internal friction in the Woodhead front springs.

Secondly, over stiffness and internal friction of the rear springs.

We do not think for a moment it is over-stiffness of the front springs, and the internal friction in the front springs is good. Weshould not desire to get rid of this, but the internal friction of the rear springs is not good, because it cannot be got rid of when desired for town use.
