On the 75 HP engine we have had considerable success with the Lodge model K plug with the disc spark gap instead of the single point. Mr Platford has also used this type of plug successfully on the 250 HP engine.

These are the most reliable plug we have tested so far and we recommend that they are adopted as standard, at the same time I think the stock of sparking plugs should be kept reasonably low as we have not yet attained perfection.
