RE RADIATORS. X.3456.

It appears that the square tube bonded radiator as made in the past was too heavy. It is possible that a lighter unbonded one will be sufficiently strong. The one you have in hand made from large round tubes with ferrules (if there is sufficient area of soldering) should be stronger, though slightly heavier than the one with expanded ends.

It has occurred to me that it is possible that a large tube radiator if not fitted with ferrules, would be weaker than one made of smaller tubes, so that it might be advisable for us to still go on with a round tube radiator of 7 or 8mm. diameter of tubes with expanded ends, and test this beside those of 10mm.
