HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} } HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} } FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} DY.{F R Danby} } Copy to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} " WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} " E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL. re. CHROMIUM PLATING. R1/M 30.10.29. X4442. Regarding our specimens from Derby, I thought the colour good - not so blue as one often sees, but I feared we had lost some of the exact shapes by unskilful buffing, and this makes the parts look cheap and common. HY{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}'s memo. of 24. 10. 29. is exactly what I understood from the representative of the Chromo Process Syndicate Ltd. I hope it will turn out useful. Some of the Sales officials whom I saw at the Motor Show told me they hate the appearance of the Staybrite parts they saw at Derby. Possibly they were right. R.{Sir Henry Royce} HYD | ||
