Customer's No.: 1 27 Sept 1923 Goshawk Dynamo Performance on Open Circuit! A test has been made to find the effects of running a Goshawk dynamo disconnected from its load. Dynamo E (set to 11.0 amp production Specification) was used, being first heated up to 80°c, by running loaded, whilst packed with heat lagging. The open-circuit volt-speed curve was then taken, up to 2000 rpm, the highest speed obtainable. On reaching this speed, the temperature (by thermo-meter) had risen to 89°c, and it attained 96°c after stopping. The machine was therefore allowed to cool to rather above 70°c and the test was repeated, starting with the high speeds. This finished with the machine at 80°c, which (contd) This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
