Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} DY{F R Danby}/CS. X4117 BY1/G.18.2.30. QUARTERLY COMPLAINT SHEET - Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}1/KW.15.2.30. PHANTOM. There are two points on Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}'s last sheet to which we must give attention when we can afford the time :- 1/- Lubricating scheme for use when starting up for Phantom 1, based on what we adopt for Phantom 11. 2/- We must give ample contraction allowance between studs and dowell. This may mean altering pattern, but it will have to be done so that a replacement will practically cure the fault. I think failure is due to contraction effects, and insufficient allowance for it, rather than "pull" of exhaust connection. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
