P.100 HEADLAMPS ON 4.B.IV.

We are at a loss to understand your remarks contained in your memo to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} regarding the above. The headlamps are arranged for vertical dipping or dipping to the left only.

To make them dip to the right quite an extensive amount of work is necessary in redrilling holes on the outer casing and altering the wiring in the junction box.

The intention is that on the Continent vertical dipping lamps should be used but in England if necessary the lamps can be also arranged to dip to the left. If you consider that dipping to the right is also necessary in preference to vertical dipping then we must arrange for the lamps to be manufactured suitably. The present arrangement of the lamps on 4.B.IV is to your specification and is approved by Sales Dept., and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}

SPEEDOMETER.

Regarding the speedometer we rather suspect that the magnetic shunt inside the instrument has moved as the instrument was definitely not 10 to 12% fast when it was fitted to the car. If you prefer it we will send you a replacement instrument out and then you can return the suspected instrument to us for examination.
