X389F H3/TB/18.11.22 S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Re:- Ex-a-gun, Limited, 47, Victoria St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, London, S.W. 1. The Ex-a-gun, which you may probably know, is an English form of the "Enot" lubricating system. Mr. Ingram, of the Ex-a-gun Company who met me at the Show, was very insistent that he wished to send one up to our Technical Department for their consideration, especially as they might wish, if they approved of it, to standardize a British article. He has sent me a sample, which I am having sent to you under separate cover, and we should be glad if you would go into it and inform Ex-a-gun, Limited of your decision. You will note that the system has an advantage in one direction, namely, that there is nothing to unscrew from the lubricator on the chassis, but that this advantage may be counter-acted by the fact that a little dirt, or grit, may collect around the ball of the lubricator, owing to it's being uncovered, and get forced into the bearing with the grease. Again, the right angle connection may not be so handy to attach in many places. However, these and other points are best dealt with by your own department. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} RECEIVED Ha NOV 20 1922 | ||
