For the Attention of Mr.West. Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 8th instant, addressed for the attention of the undersigned, your reference Wst/RC.{R. Childs}14/JH in which you requested us to supply you with two R.R.12 Ignition Coils; we would inform you that we are finishing off one coil which should be available for despatching to you on Wednesday of this week, but as regards the second, we very much regret it will not be possible to accommodate you in this case as we have no more component parts available. You will remember we have six sets of parts - you have had four coils complete, one coil which we propose sending you tomorrow, that is five, and the sixth has been on endurance test in our laboratory for some time now. We wish to ask you to help us on the question of two orders received from Derby, the first order No:43601, dated the 21st. June, which states you are forwarding to us, two special RR type Headlamps "Ex.chassis B56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} to be brought up to date by fitting new reflectors as arranged with our Mr.West." Then we have Order No: 44535 of the 7th.July which states: "Repair and modify to the latest type in respect of rim reflector, plain glass and reflector damping spring. Two Lucas P100 Headlamps removed from chassis 6-B-IV which were handed to you about three weeks ago by Mr.West, please also supply two lamp holders, two bulbs of the Continental type to suit these lamps." The situation here is that we have one pair of lamps only, these have been in the possession of Mr.R.L.Neill Handwritten text: Top Right: 6053 Left Margin: RC{R. Childs} | ||
