E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Fowler Clark,

I have your letter of the 28th inst. re Speedometer, which seems to confirm that it was slow. There is one small difference in the figures you quote which might have some bearing, and that is the size of the tyres. I have not got the present type of 6" tyre. I think mine are 5" and are the size which you had as standard in 1928 on 20 H.P. cars, but I expect the outside diameter on the road is much the same as the present 6" x 19" tyre.

I note you are writing further about it but I thought I would let you know this point in the meantime.

Yours sincerely,

G.R.N. Minchin

P.S. This gives you an opportunity to tell R you have found a slow one.
