X485-3a To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Hotel de France Chateauroux Indre 26.3.33. B E N S P O R T We carried out a series of braking tests as follows and maximum rebound. Stopping distance in feet to rest. M.P.H. FEET 30 36 40 63 50 102 60 160 70 246 80 357 The rebound has been rather difficult to obtain; It would appear that the rear wheels leave the ground when going over a ridge. The progressive load of the dampers being too great. The maximum rebound we have been able to obtain is 3 inches. This was at 80 M.P.H. At 70 we could not obtain the result. G.W.H. G.W.H.
