-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst 2/HA.23.2.33. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} At the conclusion of a further run at 5000 R.P.M. for 5000 miles (equivalent) the average wear on all the brushes was found to be only .040". This result being a third of the wear previously experienced was encouraging and we are proceeding with further tests such as noise, heating etc., with this type of brush. We have also a further grade of brushes to try termed Link F which we anticipate will still further reduce brush wear and we are now hopeful that no further modification will be necessary to Ransport and Peregrine dynamos other than new grades of brushes. It is of course understood that the speed of the Peregrine dynamo has already been reduced from a 1.5 ratio to a 1.2 ratio, the above results referring to tests carried out assuming a 1.2 ratio.
