FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR. SALT.

Dear Sirs,

Further to your visit of the 24th., we are amending the order for the pair of H.V.5. 1 3/8" throttle Horizontal Carburetters to include, in addition to the large T.4. float chambers, also two T.2. float chambers as at present supplied on the 3 1/2 litre Standard Bentley.
We think it quite possible that a sufficient flow will be obtained from these small float chambers which, under normal conditions, have a capacity of 950 pints per hour maximum and if these are used it will be an additional advantage presumably from your service point of view.

Generally, we fit the smaller T.2. Float Chamber on this size carburetter for normal Petrol Benzol Fuels, and only fit T.4. larger size where special dope and alcohol fuels demand a greatly increased flow.

Unfortunately we are afraid we shall have to keep you waiting a week or two for this pair of H.V.5. carburetters as it is a special body which, unfortunately at the time of the receipt of your order, was completely out of stock.

Yours faithfully,
FOR THE S.U. COMPANY.

B. Cooper
