To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Y8470 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RnL/LG18.5.27. ARTILLERY WHEELS. X4586 We wish to carry out some tests comparing artillery and standard wire wheels on a 40/50 HP. front axle. Unfortunately at present, in order to do this we have to change the whole hub, or else use another axle which spoils the comparative nature of the test. Would you please look into the question of the simplest modification required to enable artillery and wire wheels to be used on the same hubs. If unavoidable, we could dispense with the front brake drums and substitute equivalent weight to enable the change-over to be made. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
