Your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst13/AP.13.11.36. We recently received from Lillie Hall material for fitting the earth contacts to two cars, namely GLG-5,Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}Trials, and 56-UK, Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Trials. The parts in question fitted GLG-5, but were not suitable for the Phantom II chassis. The brass cup was about 5/16" too small in diameter, and the piece which fits into the end of the stub axle was too short, that is, the rubbing surface was about 1/16" inside the end of the axle. We took the opportunity of trying these parts on a Phantom III chassis, and, of course, they fitted this perfectly. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} has asked us to write you on this matter, and he will be glad if you will have the necessary parts made for 56-UK. Will you kindly have them sent direct here when they are ready. Bk.{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager} BK.{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager} | ||
