Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. By/RD. EJNR.E/Tsn. Starting Torques. We are very anxious to have the starting torques of the Phantom 3 engine compared with the Phantom 2, and also starting curves for the starter motors of these two engines to compare. Would you kindly let us know if this information is available or if not when it might be obtained. At the moment it looks as if we can only get 1/4" on the diameter of the present starter motor on an improvement in the starting gear ratio by the omission of one tooth on the pinion, and the addition of one tooth on the flywheel. This is not going to be good enough for the future and BY/RD is looking into the question of using a 6" machine. [Handwritten]: 35 Ex โ 1780 โ 0°C E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
