Coverley - Production Engineer}/JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary}6/MJ.13.5.37. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FUSES. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.4/AP.1.5.37. With regard to the proposed method of fastening fuse wire in the glass fuses as supplied by Messrs. Weekes, we believe it would be better to refrain from curling the ends of this wire, if it would result in sagging. We feel that if the wire was passed through the fuse body and laid over at right angles across the caps and securely soldered it should prove quite a good job. The Lucas fuse, however, seems to be a better job with its machined end caps which allow a good countersink for soldering the wire also a ticket is inserted to show the fusing rate and these retail at 3d. each as against ours at 5½d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} each.
