Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/HT.5.2.41 - 3 - 15. ENGINE MOUNTINGS. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} agreed that the modification made to B.50 was a big improvement and gave a satisfactory compromise. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} should now give the necessary information to Draper so that production drawings can be produced. 16. DISPLAY OF PROGRESS ON M/TA TO SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} This will probably take place on Wednesday, February 12th. The Ripplet radiator height should therefore be correctly adjusted on this date and the boot completed. Child has been asked to complete a turn-table for this model. 17. RIPPLET. Has been fitted up initially with the senior rationalised water pump etc.. This does not mean that the junior parts should not be proceeded with. CTS{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}, should urge. 18. CARBURATION. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Hallam stated that Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden} had given him all the information available on carburettors and he was now getting practical experience. 19. PISTON SEIZURES. The necessary information was not forthcoming regarding the history of this trouble. CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} being absent, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Frank Hallam was asked to go ahead with looking up the necessary reports. 20. CLOCKS. Smiths have been informed of the results of the experiments. 21. DIRECTION INDICATORS. It was agreed that all experimental cars should have the improvements outlined by Child made to their traffic indicators and the results observed. 22. FREEZING OF RUBBER STRIPS FITTED TO PREVENT WIND NOISES. Whyman said he was going ahead now with this experiment. 23. WINDOWS STICKING. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} commented upon this defect, not only on experimental cars but also on production B.V.s and on the trials car. It was agreed that Egglestone could not handle all the coachwork investigation for Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/S.G. If, therefore, a suitable nab can be found, Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} agreed that he should be engaged forthwith. The windows on all experimental cars should receive attention. | ||
