[Table 1]
| Inlet Press lb/sq.in. | Relief Delivery G.P.H. |
|---|---|
| | Temp 20oC | Temp 80oC |
| 10 | 9.8 | 42.5 |
| 15 | 15.5 | 85.5 |
| 20 | 38.8 | 128 |
| 25 | 47.3 | 149 |
| 30 | 65.5 | 164 |
| 35 | 92.5 | 180 |
| 40 | 128 | 210 |
| 45 | 139 | 225 |
| 50 | 170 | 244 |

With a set of delivery of 250 G.P.H. and at a temperature of 80oC the pressure difference between the filter inlet and outlet pipes measured 3 lb/sq.in.+1 from 0: to 30 lb/sq.in. out let pressure.

Outlet pressure lb/sq.in. 0 5 10 15 21 25 30
Inlet Pressure lb/sq.in. 3 9 13.5 18.5 23 28 33

A relief spring giving an initial relief pressure of 5 lb/sq.in. was also fitted, and the pressure differences measured for a set delivery of 250 G.P.H.

The results were practically the same as with the original relief spring.

[Table 2]
Relief Pressure 5 lb/sq.in.
| Temp oC | Pressure lb/sq.in. | Pressure. Difference. lb/sq.ins. |
|---|---|---|
| | Inlet pipe | Outlet pipe |
| 20oC | 24 | 3 1/4 | 20 1/4 |
| | 41 | 25 | 16 |
| 80oC | 2 1/4 | 0 | 2 1/4 |
| | 28 | 25 | 3 |
