With reference to PNL/EH/1.1.27 - this car has been handed back to us by the Experimental Dept. today, and we are arranging to deliver it to Bond St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Garage tomorrow. It should arrive about lunch-time. We understand from the Experimental Dept. that the side steering tube fitted is the same as the improved type that we are now fitting on all chassis leaving the Works, and that the cross steering tube is of the type they are now recommending for standard, and which will be incorporated on production chassis as soon as possible. The Experimental Dept. state that the Standardisation sheet is now in circulation. Will the Experimental Dept. please get this cross steering tube question standardised at the earliest possible moment, as it is not advisable to have features on trials cars which we are not fitting on-production chassis leaving the Works.
