Rolls-Royce Ltd. D E R B Y. 28th May 1935. Dear Sirs, With further reference to our letter dated the 18th inst. and the writer's conversation with you this afternoon on the subject of the delivery of the test sets of pistons, this will confirm that we are trying to supply you with these in about 4/5 days. The writer has just received inspection reports on the castings, and it appears that the thickness of the head which has to be 5.8 in the centre is only 6 m/m thick in the rough castings. We are trying to machine these to make these come in, and we will report to you again to-morrow if they are coming out satisfactorily. If not, we must get further castings at the earliest possible moment. You can rely upon us doing our utmost to let you have these at the earliest possible date. Assuring you of our best services at all times. Yours faithfully, For THE S.U. COMPANY. (A.{Mr Adams} Flower), PISTON DEPARTMENT. | ||
