Dear Sirs, Replying to your letter of the 10th inst., we would say there is no lack of confidence in SATCO metal and it would be wrong to assume otherwise. We have a good deal of confidence in SATCO, but the ground work of practical development must be sure. This metal has shown good results in tests and practice in certain industrial engines, but that is one thing, and high efficiency car and aero engines is quite another. We are watching events quite closely, and will have certain information before us quite soon. May we, therefore, suggest that the matter be held in abeyance for a week or two, by which time we hope to be able to clarify the matter?
