Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.4.2.35. GEARED STARTER MOTOR FOR 5.B.IV. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is still not satisfied with the gears on the geared starters and is arranging with By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} for a new set to be instructed having a different tooth form. If at all possible these are to be fitted to the motor on 5.B.IV for the 10,000 mile test, otherwise they are to be sent out to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} for fitting in France. In the meantime we should fit to 5.B.IV. the existing motor with gears of the correct hardness as arranged with you. Will you also arrange for a new pinion return spring of increased rating to DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}947 to be fitted to the drive. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
