X1033 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}26/KW. 25th February, 1936. Fisher, Esq., The Zenith Carburetter Co.Ltd., 40/44, Newman Street, LONDON, W.1. Dear Fisher, You will remember that we had a lot of trouble with accelerator pumps sticking on our carburetters, and came to the conclusion that the major cause of this was lack of alignment between the accelerator pump cylinder and the accelerator pump spindle guide. We should be glad to know that special precautions are being taken on production to avoid this trouble, as you will agree that if the throttle sticks open the result is likely to be disastrous in the hands of a customer. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
