Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
Nightingale Road,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Hives,

Many thanks for yours re the photograph, it seems it was a cutting given to Gertrude by somebody in Windermere, and very likely might be a local paper of that district.

I had looked through the London papers and some of the Yorkshire ones and then sent it on to you in case you might know it, but I think it's too big a job to find out.

If it was a local one I suppose Mr. Herbert in Windermere would know it, say we try him and if that fails, give it up.

I am very grateful to you for taking all this trouble over it.

Yours sincerely,

C. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Worcester.
