To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EHS c. to CJ. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} EH1/LG14.6.18. 14.th June 1918. X.3280 - RE CONNECTING RODS We have a set of main rods for the "Eagle" made in mild steel practically completed. Tests with these should enable us to find out whether the design is at fault. Stanton test pieces are going through of similar material which will be tested to stand up to the same number of blows but the ft/lbs reduced. EH.. | ||
