To PN.{Mr Northey} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X5430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG21.6.26. PN{Mr Northey}2/DN18.6.26. X3886 It is a rule that we do not hold up standardisation sheets once them are signed by the Chief Engineer and the Managing Director. The standardisation sheet for the 20 HP. steering was sent to you on the 18th. May so that you have had it over one month. No doubt you have very good reasons for not returning the sheet to us, but I am sure you will agree that it would be impossible to hold up improvements indefinitely for any one persons signature. As regards the reduction in the steering lock. The cause of the reduction is a feature in the design and cannot be altered. When the design was first set out at W.W., it was known that the steering lock would be reduced. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
