This probably represents a fairly good example but is a condition we can obtain on Phantom engines.

OVEROILING WHEN RUNNING LIGHT.

It is generally thought that overoiling is more severe when running on small throttle openings, due to the greater suction in the cylinder drawing oil past the rings. This is a fallacy as we have been unable to notice any appreciable difference between the consumption when running light or on full load at the same speed.
