Complaint Case. S-W. (Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} from H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints}) c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 261 H19/RH.{R. Hollingworth}8.6.37. re Comm. R.A.C.Michell - B-65-FC This difficult customer called at the Showrooms today and amongst other things said he had been in communication with us (not at S.) about fitting an Autovac to his car instead of petrol pumps, which he looks upon as so unreliable. It was explained to him that we did not think this was possible but Commander Michell claims that it is possible and that an Autovac was originally fitted on the 8-litre Bentley with 2 S.U.carburetters. If there are any technical reasons why an Autovac cannot be fitted we should be glad if you would let us know them. We presume if an Autovac were technically possible it would involve considerable design work on some scheme of a nature which you would not be prepared to undertake at the present time. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} | ||
