X.3599 Extract from "sl/LG26.10.21. WIRE WHEELS. X.3599 Our people in France tell us emphatically that Michelin disc wheels spoil the riding of the car, have a tendency to buckle, and are being condemned all round. They say that any tests we can do in England are feeble comapred with what the cars are expected to stand in France. They point out that it was noticeable at the last Paris Show the numbers of cars which had dropped using the Michelin Wheels. We feel that we should certainly have an alternative wheel to the Michelin Disc Wheel. We ought to have designs in hand in order to be able to fit wire wheels if necessary at an extra cost. As the fitting of wire wheels may demand serious alterations to the front axle or pivots, we recommend that this work should be put in hand. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
