To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} x5300. 8.10.34. 20/25 HP. Flywheel Tests. G.54793 Flywheel & Clutch - High Speed Test. The main objective of these tests was to prove whether or not the l/c driving plate G.53207 was capable of withstanding speeds in excess of normal engine requirements. Using the rig illustrated in EX.13783, fitted with a complete flywheel and clutch, the maximum speed attainable was 5800 r.p.m. After the run, the driving plate was examined - by chalk test - and was found to be quite sound.
