re Peregrine Carburetter and Steering Box.

As we are aiming to use the bottom portion of the J.2. carburetter in conjunction with the lengthened Peregrine uptake and throttle we are very anxious to have the mockup of this arrangement tested - that is - the adapter shown on LeC.3305 in conjunction with the heated extension piece you already have.

The scheme for the modified steering, we gather from Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}, is well in hand, in which the steering box is moved down into the frame.

We have also an alternative steering box sketched out at Derby in which the universal mounting of the nut is deleted, and the whole box is scaled down to .8 of the 20/25. This has only been made possible by adopting special diameters for the bundle of control tubes passing through the centre of thesteering nut.
