To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8420 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/LG7.10.26. With reference to the brake bedding on the front axle. When the new type axle comes on production, we are anxious for the Works to use a concentric brake bedding. You will recollect that sometime ago we took the matter up with you and the best method of obtaining liners correctly bedded to the drums to obviate the necessity for hand work with a file. We should be obliged if you would fit up all the new axles with concentrically bedded liners and at the same time consider what means we might recommend for the Works for producing these parts.
