ACCELEROMETER FOR GUN RECOIL MECHANISM,
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2957

We send you herewith a scheme Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2957 for this instrument which is urgently required for development work on the 40 m/m gun.

Will you please instruct sets of parts for two units, viz.
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2958 - Main body ...... 2 off
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2959 - End cover ....... 2 "
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2960 - Inertial Mass .. 2 "
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2961 - Spindle ........ 2 "
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2962 - Locking Nut .... 2 "
Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2963 - Coil former .... 2 "

We have tried to eliminate complicated machining as far as possible, and the job is all straight forward turning with the exception of a single bore to be internally ground.
