To: Cry from JPB c: LS Dor{Mr Dorey} JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} VS{J. Vickers} FRM Ger Kgt Distinguishing Mark S2 Saloons Whilst appreciating the special value of recognition symbols placed at the rear as opposed to the side aspect of cars, I think that in the case of S type saloons the shape of the boot lid{A. J. Lidsey} with its existing ornamentation makes it totally unsuitable for any further decoration of any kind, and if the emblem designed for the front wing is thought to be inadequate because it cannot be seen from the rear, then some other form of distinguishing mark, such as new over-riders, should be considered.
