Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Nightingale Road, Derby. [Stamp] RECEIVED OCT 11 1932 Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Lidsey. We thank you for your letter of the 6th inst., regarding which we telephoned to you as we were not quite clear as to the alterations required to the scuttles of these bodies. These are now being altered as arranged, and we shall be glad if you will please await our confirmation before sending your lorry on Friday to collect the Sports Saloon. When you receive it, kindly let us hear if the scuttle is correct. The reason for the extra width at the bottom of the scuttle was explained to you, but we are now taking ½" off each side. We have no details of the side spare wheel carrier and if you wish us to make provision for them, please send us drawings by return as the other bodies are now being panelled. We are at a loss to understand the reason for the rear doors fouling the wings when open, as when we mounted them here on our dummy chassis at an overall width of 70" as shown on our print, there was sufficient clearance. It occurs to us, however, that you may have seen fit to increase the overall width. | ||
