EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} from Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} c. to OC/Dn. X.4215. Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 2/NJ15.6.21. X.4215 - Bleriot Phi Cut-outs. Your letter ref.- EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T. of 10th ult. to Bleriot Ltd., London, and your note EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 5/T30.5.21 to me. We are now in receipt of a letter from Bleriot Ltd., London, dated 14th inst. as follows:- "With further reference to your letter of the 10th "ult. we beg to advise you that we have today heard "from the Technical Department of our Paris House "regarding the above, as follows:- "They have now sent you 6 Cut-outs of two different "types, the first 5, Nos. 38656, 38657, 38658, 38659, "38660, are of their standard model without any alter- "ations, these have been adjusted as far as possible to "your specification, but are afraid you may find that "they vibrate at the cut-in time, this being due to the "cut-in and cut-out times being too near each other. "For this reason the 6th cut-out, No. 38661, has been "sent you, specially wound, and in this the series "winding has been increased in order to decrease as "much as possible the reverse current. "On each cut-out there is a label giving the "cut-in and cut-out points. "Trusting you will now find these satisfactory, "and hoping to have your report on same at an early "date." I shall be glad if OC/Dn. will instruct Stores that the six cut-outs which have been sent to us by Bleriot Ltd. must be booked in against our order CW.78, of 30/12/20, and must be passed on to EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} | ||
