X. 4333 Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} c. EFC. BY17-P21.3.24. X.4333. 20HP DYNAMO BRUSHES. The question of using Morganite brushes has been discussed with R.{Sir Henry Royce} over and over again. At one time when he received merely an experimental machine with Morganite brushes he took it up as a serious issue and made it very unpleasant for everybody concerned at the Works. R.{Sir Henry Royce} is so convinced of the value of the LeCarbone as against the Morganite brush that we do not feel justified in attempting to run any other brush whilst this is available, particularly as EFC's tests over a considerable period shew an advantage over the LeCarbone. I think EFC. should issue a standardisation sheet which would empower us to use Morganite brushes if it should happen that anything interfered with our obtaining supplies of LeCarbone. This is, however, as far as this matter should be carried. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
