To R.R. of America Inc. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} (For the attention of CY) Copy to CC. " " MS. " " EFC. ORIGINAL RE CHASSIS - THERMOSTAT. X.3563 X.3495 X.3499 RECEIVED 3 With reference to BY10/P14/2/21, thermostats are not considered absolutely necessary, though I think desirable, but all cars should be fitted with hand operated shutters in front of radiators, and thermometers, pending satisfactory shutters operated by thermostat, which we consider ideal, though even this arrangement may have defects of allowing too high a temperature for alcohol.
