We should very much like to stress the point that in our opinion this crankshaft is soft. The amount of wear that has taken place at such a small mileage is, in our opinion, due to the soft crankshaft, and Halls metal. The crankshaft in question can be filed easily whereas the replacement crank sent down, cannot be scratched with a file.
