Dear Sirs, Owing to Petrol restrictions and the fact that our two test drivers have been called to the Colours we are not at present able to run test cars. We have, however, just completed some Laboratory work on tread compounds which we would like tested out under road conditions. If you still have some test cars in service would you be willing to fit to them experimental tyres provided by us? These tyres would have different tread compounds in different segments of the tread circumference so that each tyre in itself would constitute a comparative test and there would not therefore be any need for positional changes. If you are agreeable to helping us in this way, will you advise us the number of tyres you would require and of course the tyre size, which we presume will be 6.50/16. Yours faithfully, THE AVON INDIA RUBBER COMPANY LIMITED. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Mackay DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AND CHIEF CHEMIST. | ||
