OBJECT OF TEST. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C-1 ENGINE INVESTIGATIONS. TESTER. A.{Mr Adams} C. Lovesey. CONDITIONS. Engine test bench. SUMMARY OF TEST. We recommend that the boiler in connection with the draining scheme should be separate to the hot-spot. We consider that it is only when the engine is started from cold that there should be any appreciable precipitation. We do not wish the hot-spot to be cooled by the petrol draining into it. The capacity of the boilers incorporated in the hot-spot is not sufficient to deal with the amount of petrol collected when starting from cold. Springfield insist that the boilers should have a capacity of over 1 pint on the 40/50 HP. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
