Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} Mr. c.c. BY/RD. (text is struck through) BY.3/G.19.4.39. S1c2 BRUSH NOISE ON 72 COIL DYNAMO. 6148? 6093 Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}6/JH.6.4.39. it is clear from your report that instead of buying, as instructed 'Amber' mica, the O.O. have bought a type of micanite. BY/RD. has taken this matter up with O.O. and will not let the matter drop until we have learnt how this inferior material has crept in. BY/RD. and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} should arrange a test for mica, so that we shall be safeguarded against a recurrence of faulty buying or alternatively of a different material being supplied to that required and specified. The test should be added to drawing or a specification quoted, giving test. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
