With regard to bodies for 10,000 miles tests:-

20 H.P. I understand that you have now practically completed the 10,000 miles tests of the present series of Goshawks, and I am not sure on what date you expect to start on a test of the next series. In the meantime we are considering with the coachbuilder how soon/an experimental body can be completed on the lines mentioned in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG2.10.23

40/50 H.P. The next test will presumably be E.A.C.3, which will require a body at an early date. Please let me know on what date you expect to start testing this.

Presumably a body to suit one of our present standard long 40/50 h.p. chassis is required, and we can doubtless select one that is now being built at our coach-builders; it need only be finished in rough grey paint and temporary upholstery covers.

If you consider it is desirable to have a stiffer body frame, as mentioned in your memo., and if this can be arranged by the date you will wish to start your test, we will arrange accordingly.

It is probable that we shall announce E.A.C.3 about the time of the Olympia Show, and there would therefore be no need to camouflage this chassis after that date.

With regard to E.A.C.1, any testing of this on the road would of course only be done after you have applied to C.J. for permission, and informed him that you have the necessary armoured car camouflaged bodies ready for the purpose.

Please let me know if the above arrangement is clear and satisfactory.

B.J.
