The Sales Dept. have had this car for several days. Generally, they appear to be very pleased with it. They are trying it again this weekend with a 15-tooth axle instead of a 16-tooth. We have tried the car fitted with a 15-tooth axle and we think it is probable that the increased acceleration will please them.

They criticise the fact that the engine cannot be run on battery ignition only with the usual ignition switch. On the Experimental car, as you know, we have fitted a switch for cutting out the magneto under the instrument board. This enables the car to be run on battery ignition except that it is very likely to be forgotten and the driver, seeing the main switch in the position for magneto and battery, assumes that he is running on both ignitions.

On the EAC. engine we do not get the same improvement as we do on the 40/50 HP. because the plug positions are practically identical. There is, however, an advantage if one is out to demonstrate minimum slow speed running because of the fact that the battery ignition fires much later than the magneto.
