Re: Jaeger Speedometers.

Arrangements have been made between Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and ourselves, for two Jaeger Speedometers to be tested at W.

The Jaeger Company have agreed to supply them at the price of 37/6d. (thirty seven shillings and sixpence) - i.e. the price at which they would supply quantities. I think that in instances of this sort, we always prefer to buy the articles rather than have them lent. If, as I believe, this is agreed by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} would you please regularise the position by sending them an official order.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has, I believe, sent the Jaeger Company full details regarding gear ratio, etc., on which the instruments

(Text in right margin, handwritten vertically) Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} will be tested.
