Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited.,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. Martindale.

Dear Sirs,

Re 30 H.P. Experimental Chassis.

With further reference to the visit of our Installation Engineer to you on December 29th and 30th, 1938, in connection with Lockheed installation on the above Chassis. We should like to raise the following matters in connection with this installation:-

(1) The Inlet Connection Tapping on Front Wheel Cylinders was found to be too shallow.

We shall be glad, therefore, if you will arrange to carry out the necessary modifications to enable our Standard Bolts to be fitted.

(2) The Front Wheel Cylinder Banjo Connections are made in such a way that they can be located on the Backplate in a predetermined position. In order to maintain this position, a suitable method of location on your Brake Shoe Carrier Plate should be evolved by your goodselves.

(3) We would suggest that the Front Hose Brackets are stiffened up or increased in gauge, in order to obtain adequate rigidity.
