The arrangement we at present make lies between the coachbuilders and the lamp makers. I did, however, enquire into the matter for "Goshawk II", but found that there was practically only one make of head lamp available, in which the wiring was invisible. This was the Lucas pattern, and has been adopted as a standard for "Goshawk II".

I believe that the 40/50 H.P. will probably have to go on as at present because of the stock of parts, and the lamps available. This matter will be well known to Mr. Spinney, and the chassis fittings will be altered if we have instructions to do so.

X. 4172 Regarding the Klaxon on the steering column, you will remember that when it was desired to have a locked ignition, I took the opportunity of rearranging the wiring and produced the R.R. switches and R.R. distributing board, and other fittings which cost us much thought, and the models of which were fitted to my car 6 EX, but owing to the large stock of Lucas equipment, it was reported to me that we could not adopt this scheme, and my car had to be kept in the background.

X. 4338 For "Goshawk II", we have produced a combined charging, lighting and ignition lockable switch for the instrument board which does the whole of the switch work, and we have arranged for a double wired press button on the steering column for the Klaxon. The arrangement on this car will, therefore, be quite up to date in every way, and I shall be anxious to put the same fittings on the 40/50 H.P. as soon as the stock of parts will allow.
